Almost 60 percent of respondents to a recent Health Care Compliance Association survey report that they often wake up in the middle of the night because of job-related stress.
Keeping up with new regulations (24 percent), preventing violations (16 percent) and remediating compliance and ethics violations (14 percent) are the top reasons for the stress, the survey of more than 970 people stated.
Not having enough money budgeted for compliance also caused anxiety, the survey stated. About 73 percent of the respondents said they had "nowhere near enough" or "not quite enough" resources for compliance efforts.

Region A RAC Posts More Issues by Major Diagnostic Category
DCS Healthcare posted a new crop of inpatient hospital issues by major diagnostic category (MDC) on Jan. 22. The categories often contain several MS-DRGs within them.
Region B RAC CGI Federal also posted two inpatient hospital issues that were approved in December.
