While leaders of the Group of 20 continue their London Summit today to discuss the current global economic crisis, members of the Michigan Health & Hospital Association are settling in for an economic summit of another kind - the Recovery Audit Contractors have come to town.

Following a three-day engagement in New York, the Outreach Express is expected to pull into Lansing, Mich. today amid partly cloudy skies and scattered rain. CGI Technologies and Solutions (CGI), the RAC for Region B, will conduct the 1 p.m. session along with representatives from CMS. The Michigan Hospital Association represents 144 community hospitals.

The Outreach Express is scheduled to make a return visit on April 10 for the Michigan State Medical Society -this event, however, will be webcast, scheduled to air from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. This will be the last stop for the Outreach Express in Michigan.

In between the two Michigan dates, the Outreach Express will pick up speed before making two stops in Minnesota. The first, being billed as the Minnesota VHA Webinar, will be conducted jointly by CMS and CGI from 2 to 4 p.m. tomorrow, April 3. The second and final appearance will take place 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on April 7 at the Sheraton Minneapolis South.

Next month, the Outreach Express will push further west to California, Montana, Wyoming, North Dakota and South Dakota.
