Indiana Hospital Association to Release Approved RAC Issues PDF Print E-mail
Written by Chuck Buck

(AUGUST 26, 2009)---The Indiana Hospital Association has told RACMonitorEnews that it will notify its members today that CGI Federal, the RAC for Region B, will be posting to its Web site the first three issues that it has been approved to investigate by CMS.

The three issues are Blood Transfusions, IV-Hydration and Bronshoscopy services. Each issue, according to the IHA, is related to physician and outpatient hospital claim types and each issue will review whether the physician or outpatient hospitals billed for more than one unit per patient, per date of service.

Recently, Regions C (Connolly Healthcare) and D (HealthDataInsights) posted CMS issues to their Web sites for the states in which they have completed the required informational town hall meetings. Connolly posted seven approved issues earlier this month followed by an eighth issue approved for Florida ONLY.

Why should I upgrade to Internet Explorer 7? Microsoft has redesigned Internet Explorer from the ground up, with better security, new capabilities, and a whole new interface. Many changes resulted from the feedback of millions of users who tested prerelease versions of the new browser. The most compelling reason to upgrade is the improved security. The Internet of today is not the Internet of five years ago. There are dangers that simply didn't exist back in 2001, when Internet Explorer 6 was released to the world. Internet Explorer 7 makes surfing the web fundamentally safer by offering greater protection against viruses, spyware, and other online risks.
