McKesson and Milliman to Participate in Live Webinar Today PDF Print E-mail
Written by Patricia Dear, RN

pdear120dsNOVEMBER 12, 2009----Representatives from both McKesson and Milliman will be joining in today's Webinar, "RACs' Use of Medical Necessity Screening Tools: Understanding the Criteria." The Webinar is scheduled for 1:30 PM ET.

Each has agreed to answer questions, which may arise during this session about their respective products and their use in RAC audits, with all questions and answers to be published as a follow-up article for RACMonitor and eduTrax.

We are so pleased to have both companies agree to join us for this session. As the Webinar's author and presenter, I am equally pleased that they have agreed to participate in the question and answer follow-up article.

We've had many clients ask for an open forum to discuss the thorny issue of ‘admission screening'; what can be used, what should be used, who should use the tools, how are they used by RACs, and what if the RAC uses a tool I am not familiar with?

In this session we will discuss the answers to those and other related issues so that providers can better know how to deal with RAC denials involving an unfamiliar set of guidelines, and if that occurs hopefully have some better resources available to help them.

Your current web browser must be updated to version 7 of Internet Explorer (IE7) to take advantage of all of template's capabilities.

Why should I upgrade to Internet Explorer 7? Microsoft has redesigned Internet Explorer from the ground up, with better security, new capabilities, and a whole new interface. Many changes resulted from the feedback of millions of users who tested prerelease versions of the new browser. The most compelling reason to upgrade is the improved security. The Internet of today is not the Internet of five years ago. There are dangers that simply didn't exist back in 2001, when Internet Explorer 6 was released to the world. Internet Explorer 7 makes surfing the web fundamentally safer by offering greater protection against viruses, spyware, and other online risks.
