HHS-OIG’s Larry Goldberg Discusses Medicaid PCS Fraud Vulnerabilities on Monitor Monday

By
Larry Goldberg

Larry Goldberg, Principal Deputy Inspector General for the Office of Inspector General of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, will discuss the OIGs latest report on the growing concern the agency has for Medicaid’s Personal Care Services program on Monitor Monday, Nov. 19.

Goldberg is also expected to discuss the OIG’s most recent skilled nursing facilities report during the broadcast. Goldberg’s appearance marks the fourth time the HHS-OIG has been on the live Internet radio broadcast produced by RACmonitor. Daniel Levinson, the inspector general, has made three appearances to date, including a special edition during the annual HCCA conference in Las Vegas in April 2012. Goldberg heads up the “Immediate Office” of the Inspector General—an office that is, according to the OIG, directly responsible for the “overall fulfillment of (the) OIG’s mission” and “promoting effective management and quality of OIG processes and products.”

The office, which Goldberg oversees, among other responsibilities, also serves as a liaison to the Secretary and Deputy Secretary of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
