Daniel R. Levinson, Inspector General of the Office of Inspector General of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, is scheduled to appear on a live broadcast originating from the 16th annual Compliance Institute of the Health Care Compliance Association in Las Vegas, April 29 through May 2. The broadcast is produced by RACmonitor.com.

Levinson, who has headed the OIG since 2004, is the keynote speaker during the opening session of the conference that gets underway at 8:45 a.m. on Monday, April 30. Ironically, Aaron Beam, Jr., founder and former CFO for HealthSouth in Loxley, AL, is scheduled to follow Levinson’s appearance at the conference. Beam gained notoriety when he became engulfed in a financial scandal involving HealthSouth, resulting in his serving time in prison. Beam, who hopes others will learn from his example, will also be a guest during our live broadcast, as will Ketanji Brown Jackson, vice chair and commissioner on the United States Sentencing Commission, also addressing the conference that morning.

The live broadcasts begin Monday, when the long-running Monitor Monday takes to the air at its usual time, 10 a.m. EDT. The popular Talk-Ten-Tuesday will originate at its regular time, Tuesday at 10 a.m. EDT, from the remote studio booth at HCCA.

Live broadcasts continue throughout the day on Monday and Tuesday as program hosts Chuck Buck, publisher of RACmonitor and ICD10monitor; Nancy Beckley, president and CEO of Nancy Beckley and Associates; and Kim Charland, senior vice president of consulting for Panacea Healthcare Solutions, welcome other outstanding national leaders, such as:

  • James Sheehan, chief integrity officer/executive deputy commissioner for the New York City Human Resources Administration;
  • Shawn DeGroot, vice president of corporate responsibility for Regional Health in Rapid City, SD;
  • Florie Munroe, Director Internal Audit and Compliance, Saint Raphael Healthcare System, New Haven, CT;
  • Cathy Garrey, Compliance and Quality Assurance Manager, McHenry County Mental Health Board, Crystal Lake, IL;
  • Paul Keoppel, Laboratory Compliance Officer, Intermountain Healthcare, Salt Lake City, UT;

.....and many more.

The live broadcasts from HCCA conclude a month-long series of programs originating from major healthcare conferences. In early April, ICD-10monitor.com produced a series of live broadcasts for its Talk-Ten-Tuesday brand during the AAPC national conference in Las Vegas. This was followed most recently by two days of live programming from the AHIMA ICD-10 Summit in Baltimore for Talk-Ten-Tuesday.
