The federal government today reported the largest fraud takedown in the history of the Medicare Fraud Task Force.
The nationwide sweep netted the arrest of 243 individuals for approximately $712 million in false billing. U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Sylvia Mathews Burwell and U.S. Attorney General Loretta E. Lynch made the joint announcement today via a news release posted on the HHS website.
