Monitor Mondays will conduct a special town hall forum during its Monday, June 30 broadcast focused on listeners who are confused and concerned about the probe-and-educate audits by which they have been targeted via their Medicare Administrative Contractors (MACs). Responding to questions will be attorney David Glaser and Ronald Hirsch, MD, both of whom will be answering questions — live and in real time. If listeners have had concerns or problems with probe-and-educate audits, they should send questions and comments to firstname.lastname@example.org before the broadcast.
Also on the broadcast will be Ann Sheehy, a physician at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health, to share highlights of her recent testimony before the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Ways and Means’ Subcommittee on Health last month. Dr. Sheehy gave lawmakers her perspective on the impact of the two-midnight rule, patient observation status, and the RACs’ effects on patient care.
