News Alert: CMS Releases 2019 MPFS and QPP Final Rules

Release by CMS caps months of debate by stakeholders

Long awaited and hotly debated, the 2019 Medicare Physician Fee Schedule (MPFS) and Quality Payment Program (QPP) late July, when the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) released proposed rules for both. Tucked into the MPFS were the controversial revisions to the regulations governing evaluation and management (E&M) services. Today, CMS released both.

For analysis of these rules, listen to Talk Ten Tuesday, Nov. 6 when healthcare IT expert and former CMS career professional Stanley Nachimson will report on the impact and implications of the final rules.
